[...] The Uncanny Valley in music has especially peaked my interest recently. The valley, to me, is about a period in time – where things progress, and then technology has a sort of ‘awkward stage’ until it gets past the hump. 8bit sounds in music progressed up until the 2001, and the past 10 years have seen companies, plugins, libraries, and more try to perfect the MIDI libraries to sound realistic, but they wind up sounding ever so slightly fake. Based on The Uncanny Valley, they would be better off to sound completely fake and just wait 10 years until the technology and knowledge finally caught up so they would sound like real instruments.
[...] Free Jazz Funk Drum by Orange Tree Samples – Completely different than the previous three links, these samples come from a rare jazz/funk kit. And I somehow always come up with great beats when playing with these. They were created with special attention dedicated to expressive playing, with varying velocities, so get your shuffle on and make some funky beats. Mappings in sfz format are available here (made by PL Jones). [...]

So essentially, you want to be able to trigger the keyswitches within a sample library using controllers? It sounds like that would have to do on the multiscript level, intercepting the MIDI data before it reaches the instrument and turning it into a keyswitch when applicable.

Actually I was looking for exactly the opposite. I would like to be able to activate keyswitches thru MIDI CCs. I have a 25 key keyboard and I cannot access the keyswitching keys. I am more used to host automation than keyswitching anyway. Any ideas?
