Keyswitch to MIDI Controller
Here’s a useful patch for Kontakt 2/3/4 which lets you control MIDI controllers with keyswitches. It allows you to assign CC#s and their values to non-latching keyswitches. Just load it up in Kontakt alongside any sample library, making sure they’re both on the same MIDI channel.
Download the “KS to CC” patch here.

Hello!
Can this be used as a keyswitch for patches in an instrument bank in kontakt 3?
Can I switch from slot 1 to slot 2 pressing c#0, as an example?
How is it done, if it´s so?
Kind regards
Göran Ericsson
Unfortunately the MIDI patch change, used to switch between loaded instruments in an instrument bank in KONTAKT, isn’t the same thing as a CC#. However, it may be able to do this in KONTAKT 4.
Actually I was looking for exactly the opposite. I would like to be able to activate keyswitches thru MIDI CCs. I have a 25 key keyboard and I cannot access the keyswitching keys. I am more used to host automation than keyswitching anyway. Any ideas?
So essentially, you want to be able to trigger the keyswitches within a sample library using controllers? It sounds like that would have to do on the multiscript level, intercepting the MIDI data before it reaches the instrument and turning it into a keyswitch when applicable.
